**My Forgotten Mothers**

Mothers of sorrow,
Mothers of my land, whose share of existence was nothing but labor and a black cloak.

I do not know what great mourning she grieves for,
that she is always clad in black.

My forgotten mother,
Her embrace carries the scent of cloves,
A turquoise ring adorns her hand,
She sings lullabies,
And stands tall like a mountain,
Holding the foundation of this home together.
